I am an oceanographer and earth-system scientist interested in an interdisciplinary approach to understanding aquatic-climate connections in both my teaching and scholarship at Oberlin College.
My research explores the physical and biological drivers of biogeochemical cycles in the Great Lakes, and Polar and Sub-polar Oceans with a focus on the use of dissolved gas tracers, remote sensing, and computational analysis. Our group investigate the role of ice, climate change and other environmental stressors in shaping carbon, oxygen and nutrient cycling in large, changing bodies of water.
